For all of you who indulge in yard work, cleaning your attics and sheds, beware...
Please read below before looking at the pictures. The pictures are of a single bite on the thumb that cover 10 days.
This is primarily for those of you who live where these nasty little guys reside.
Some of the pictures towards the end are pretty nasty and may turn your stomach, but take a look at the first one as it is a picture of the spider itself.
We all should know what to look out for....
I thought this would be a good thing to put on line for people to look at as it is summer time and people are going to be digging around doing yard work, etc.
The following illustrates the progression of a brown recluse spider bite. Just as a warning, day 3 thru 6 photos are not too graphic. However, day 9 and 10 are very graphic. Your discretion is advised if you choose to view.
Please be careful, spider
bites are dangerous and can have permanent and
highly negative consequences.
For Your Information....
They like the darkness and tend to live in storage sheds or attics or other areas that might not be frequented by people or light. If you have a need to be in your attic, go up there and turn on a light and leave it on for about 30 minutes before you go in to do your work.
